Hike Schedule
Upcoming Hikes: Schedule and other changes: On occasion our original posting about a hike, especially directions to a trailhead may contain errors. Corrections to the original post will be made so click on the links from this page to read any updates. Our evolving schedule of hikes for Spring 2026 is posted HERE We are working on the summer schedule and welcome any suggestions or requests of favorite destinations. June 5 – Easy– Five Kezar Ponds Preserve (1,200 ft.), Lovell, ME 3.0 mile RT, 600 ft. elevation gain. RT hiking time 3-4 hours. RT driving 2.0 hours. What is now called the Five Kezar Ponds Reserve used to be called the Back Pond Preserve not so many years ago. It is 259 acres next to Five Kezar Pond Road in Waterford. Trailhead directions June 12 – Moderate – Lows Bald Spot (2,875 ft.), Pinkham Notch, NH. June 19 – Easy – Mount Tom (1,073 ft), Fryeburg, ME. NOTE: The meeting time for those meeting at the Denmark Church remains constant at 8:30 AM. Please be advised that, based on the location of specific hikes, the hike leader may go directly to the trailhead. If you find yourself at the church and no hike leader shows up, please organize your carpooling and proceed to the trailhead. We will try to give you a heads up when this situation will occur. |

Hiking Schedule:
Next Hike:
June 12 – Moderate – Low’s Bald Spot (2,875 ft.), Pinkham Notch, NH. 4.4 mi RT with 950 ft. of elevation gain. RT hiking 4.5 hours. RT driving 2.5 hours
Meet at the church at 8:30 am.
It’s about a 75 minute drive from Denmark to trailhead. Greg is leading so assume we’ll leave Denmarki at 8:32 am and arrive at the trailhead at 9:47 am.
For those new potential hikers who are considering coming along with us, we should note that there is only one church in Denmark. It is adjacent to the town offices.
The other thing we might point out is that Denmark has little or no cell phone coverage at the town offices or at the church. They do have cheaper gas at Jim Bob’s.

Year round hiking for sure: but there’s a limit. If the forecast is really bad, hikes may be cancelled or postponed. Ideally cancellations will be announced by Thursday evening . Schedule changes, when necessary, will be announced via email to website subscribers
